Recent Projects & Accomplishments

  • Sponsored scholarship for one youth in 2016 for a 4-day Tune Outdoor Camp.
  • Gave $5,000 to PF’s Minnesota Build A Wildlife Area campaign for the acquisition of the Gary Clancy Memorial WMA in southern Minnesota.
  • Gave $8,000 to PF’s Minnesota Land & Legacy Fund which annually funds acquisitions of WMAs and Waterfowl Production Areas in Minnesota for public hunting. This donation helps fund the purchase of the almost 300 acre Joe Duggan Family Wildlife Management Area in Southern Minnesota.  Joe Duggan is a recently retired, long time employee of Pheasants Forever National office.  Joe was very instrumental in at least three of our larger WMA acquisitions.

  • Gave $13,000 of funding to PF’s Legislative Action Fund in Washington D.C., which has had a major influence on the conservation element of the farm bill.  PF continues to be recognized as the most influential and effective conservation organization on agricultural issues.
  • Continued seven nesting cover project contracts
  • Planted and maintained food plots on four of the county’s WMAs.
  • Held the 1st annual Hermann von Knobelsdorff Memorial Sporting Clays Tournament for the areas’ high school trap teams in 2016. Followed it with the 2nd annual event in 2017.   78 total students participated in the two shoots.
  • Contracted with county farmers for winter food plots or supplied planting expense reimbursement.
  • Contracted and paid $2,348 for the grading and graveling of the parking lot at the Tiedmann Wildlife Management Area.

  • We appreciate the support you have provided us in the past and look forward to upcoming projects in the future!
